Same-day delivery

Order by 1 pm, Monday to Friday, for same-day delivery in Northfield and Dundas (Central time). On Saturday the cutoff is 11 am.

An order placed after the cutoff goes out the next delivery day, and we call you if that doesn’t work. We deliver Monday through Saturday, between about 10 am and 5 pm. We don’t deliver on Sundays, except Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day. Closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

Pickup is at the shop during opening hours, and it’s usually ready within two hours.

What delivery costs

No minimum order. These are the only fees: delivery to the address on the card, and that’s it.

Where we deliver

These eight towns and nowhere else, so that every order is made the same morning by us.

  • Northfield
  • Dundas
  • Dennison
  • Nerstrand
  • Lonsdale
  • Faribault
  • Randolph
  • Cannon Falls

We don’t use a wire service or fill orders through other shops. For flowers outside these towns, we’d rather point you to a florist who’s there.

Substitutions and problems

Flowers vary with the season, and we don’t always have the exact stem in the photo. Here’s how we handle it.

You choose when you order. Either we use the closest match and tell you, or we call you before we change anything.

What we won’t change: the colors, the size and the value of what you ordered. We never substitute a flower that’s worth less, and if we can’t keep the look, we call.

If it isn’t right, tell us within 24 hours of delivery, with a photo if you can. We’ll replace it or refund you. Call (507) 555-0142 or write hello@tamarackflowers.com.

What we can’t promise: a delivery time. The van runs one loop through town. You can ask for morning or afternoon and we’ll try, but if we can’t make the day you picked, we call you before the day is over and move it or refund you.

If nobody’s home, we call the number on the order, then leave the flowers with a neighbor or the front desk. If that doesn’t work we bring them back and call you.

Holidays and busy weeks

Holiday weeks are busy, so these are the dates to know. We post exact holiday hours here in January and April.

- Thanksgiving centerpieces: order by Monday, November 23. Delivery Tuesday and Wednesday (November 24 and 25), or pick up Wednesday until 3 pm. Closed Thanksgiving Day.

- Holiday wreaths: ready from Friday, November 20. Order by Monday, December 14 for delivery before Christmas. Christmas Eve hours are 9 am to 1 pm.

- Valentine’s Day (Sunday, February 14, 2027): order by Wednesday, February 10. We deliver Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

- Mother’s Day (Sunday, May 9, 2027): order by Wednesday, May 5. We deliver Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

For a funeral during any of these weeks, call us and we’ll make it work wherever we can.

Delivery questions

Can you deliver today? What time do I need to order by?

Yes, in Northfield and Dundas. Order by 1 pm Central, Monday through Friday, or by 11 am on Saturday. An order after that goes out the next delivery day, and we’ll call you if that doesn’t work. We don’t deliver on Sundays.

Where do you deliver, and what does it cost?

Northfield or Dundas is $8. Dennison, Nerstrand and Lonsdale are $12. Faribault, Randolph and Cannon Falls are $16. Delivery to a funeral home, a church for a service or the hospital in Northfield or Dundas is free. The fee is added at checkout, so you see the total before you pay.

Do you deliver on Sundays and holidays?

Not on Sundays, except Valentine’s Day (Sunday, February 14, 2027) and Mother’s Day (Sunday, May 9, 2027), when we deliver. We’re closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. For Valentine’s Day, order by Wednesday, February 10; for Mother’s Day, order by Wednesday, May 5.

Can I pick a time for delivery?

You can ask for morning or afternoon in your card message, and we’ll try. We can’t promise a time, because the van runs one loop through town. If we can’t make the day you picked, we call you before the day is over and move it or refund you.

What if nobody is home?

We call the number you gave us, then leave the flowers with a neighbor or the front desk if there is one. If that doesn’t work, we bring them back to the shop and call you. We never leave flowers outside in freezing weather.
